Before the busy week really got started, we met up in the morning to continue working on our schedule and prepare our presentation for the professors. Some of us had started the day a little earlier by having breakfast at a local café before everyone arrived on campus.
After presenting our plan, we met with the professors to discuss the upcoming company visits and collected additional questions for our upcoming call with Robert and Kerry from Celonis. Around midday, we had the chance to talk to them and ask all our questions. The conversation gave us an insight into working with Celonis and data migrations.
After the call, it was finally time for lunch. We went to The Brick where we enjoyed some delicious food. Although everything tasted great, we all agreed that it was also incredibly greasy – definitely not the lightest meal of the week!

Since we had finished all of our university work for the day the afternoon was free. A few of us Germans decided to check out the university gym, which we were allowed to use for free. Getting there turned out to be an adventure of its own because there wasn’t enough room in the car for everyone. We somehow managed to squeeze six people into a five-seater, with four of us sharing the back seat. It wasn’t exactly comfortable but it gave us plenty to laugh about on the short drive.
The gym was much more impressive than we had expected. Besides the usual fitness equipment it even had an indoor running track and a basketball court. It was exciting to see what kind of sports facilities American universities offer their students.
To end the day, we met up with the American students for dinner. It was another great opportunity to spend time together, enjoy some good food, and get to know each other even better before the busy days ahead.s
